Skulls on Necklace in Sterling and Shibuichi

This is a unique piece of art suspended from a 2 strand beaded necklace with a sterling silver magnetic edged clasp.
The strands of the necklace are 22" and 19" in length and the sculpted piece is 1 3/4" long by 3/4" wide.
For some reason I was reminded of chocolate covered cherries...
I chose blood red disk beads, oval dark brown (almost black) beads, and small multi hued seed beads and fire polish beads to create both strands of the necklace. I would consider this a piece to wear all year round. Have fun with it!
Shibuichi was originally a Japanese alloy that consists of 1 part silver to 3 parts of copper and created a silver-gray-copper patina. Both skulls are made this way and attached to sterling silver cherry stems and leaves.
(The skulls are individually made by New Mexico artist, AG Meadows.)
